Thrown Ball
Two boys are playing a game of catch with a baseball. They are initially separated by a distance d1 = 63 meters. One boy throws the ball with an initial speed v0 = 27 m/s at an angle q = 33.6° above the horizontal, as shown in the picture above. The other boy moves to a new distance d2 in order to catch it, at the same height above the ground as the first boy threw it. How far does the second boy have to move from his initial position in order to do this? Neglect air resistance.
